copy of
his reply just received. You will
perceive that
as Mr Williamson is not here but in England, it is impossible for this Government to move further in the matter.
I
may
proceed against
add that to
a
man of
no substance like Mr
Williamson is of doubtful expediency, but that if it be
held advisable to do so
in England, the documentary
evidence in favor of the claim
forms enclosure to Mr Mercer's Despatch No.83 of 13th March 1883.
